Frequently Asked Questions:

What times are your services and Bible studies?

Sunday:
9:45 a.m. - Growth Groups (Bible Study for all ages)
   11:01 a.m. - Worship

Wednesday:
6:30 p.m. - Rooted (Discipleship for all ages)

What is the attire at Bear Creek?

We believe that reverence is more about who you are on the inside than what you wear on the outside...so come as you are!  You'll find most people are dressed casually, with some in jeans and others in slacks.

What kind of worship style does Bear Creek use?

Our service is led by our worship minister and our band.  We believe that God is glorified through many styles of worship, so you'll hear songs from hymns to contemporary worship songs.

How long is the service?

Our services usually last about an hour.

Can I bring my coffee into the service?

Sure!  In fact, each Sunday you'll be able to get your morning coffee free at our hospitality window located in the atrium.

What about my preschooler?

We know that one of the most important concerns of the family is that their preschooler is safe and happy during worship.  Our Creek Cubs team is trained to provide not only a safe environment, but one in which even our youngest children learn about the love of Jesus.  You'll check in your preschooler at our desk in the atrium, where you will be given a security tag so that you are the only one that can pick them up after the service.  There will be a smiling face at the check-in desk to make sure you are directed to the correct classroom and to answer whatever questions you may have about the morning.  For more information about the Creek Cubs ministry, click here.

Do you offer programs for my children and teenagers?

Bear Creek offers many great and educational activities for all ages.  On both Sundays and Wednesdays, you'll find classes specifically designed for children and students.

How do I give to Bear Creek?

There is a tithe box located in the back of the worship room.  While we do not have an offering time during the service, we do encourage our members to tithe biblically.

What about communion?

Bear Creek celebrates communion on Sunday mornings several times throughout the year.  We celebrate open communion, meaning that we invite anyone who has a personal relationship with Jesus to join us as we remember His sacrifice...you don't have to be a member of Bear Creek to be a part of the service.  We also celebrate communion during our Good Friday and Christmas Eve services each year.

What is your leadership style?

We are congregational in leadership.  While our pastor and staff play a large role in determining programming and direction, all major decisions of the church are made by the congregation itself.  To this end, we have a Leadership Team made of elected laypersons from our congregation that serve to help guide and direct the decisions of our church.
