Today's Passage: Acts 11

The first part of this chapter is Peter's retelling of the events that happened in chapter 10.  Verses 19-30 reveal the first step in God's plan for Saul.  It is interesting how the book of Acts is laid out.  Just 2 chapters ago Saul was still persecuting Christians, and now after Peter receives a vision to minister to Jew and gentile alike Saul is sought out and brought to minister to Greeks in Antioch by Barnabas.

The reason I point this out is Saul/Paul was the perfect person to minister to the Greeks, but that ministry didn't exist until Saul accepted Christ.  We are all called to miniser.  For some of us that means to hold a possession on staff at a church, but for most of us it simply means sharing what we are learning about God with others around us.  God has a place for you to be serving Him, to be sharing His truth in love... Are you looking for it?  God has the perfect opportunity for someone with your life experience and knowledge of Him.  The problem is we don't all have a Barnabas to connect us with that opportunity.

I encourage you to prayerfully search out where God is leading you to serve Him.  It never hurts to try out serving in a ministry.  The worst that will happen is you'll find out that's not where God wants you.  You don't have to know it all to serve.  You just have to humbly put God first in your life.
