Today's Passage: Romans 10

I love the way Paul puts this into words.  His main point in this passage is our words about our faith are what God uses to bring about salvation in others.  None of us speak eloquently enough to persuade someone to be saved.  It is the Holy Spirit that does the persuading, but we must be sold out in our faith or our words will be powerless.

What we speak about and how we say it reflects exactly where our hearts passions are.  Someone can be a crafty liar but when their motives are put to the test the truth will come out.  God obviously knows this, He made us after all, and I think that is why He made communicating our faith in Him to others an important part of salvation.  There are probably millions of other ways God could reveal himself to us, but through the words of his believers He is made know in such an intimate way that people are left to truly decide as an individual to follow Him.

I challenge you this week to evaluate your faith.  Are you sold out to God or does your faith go up and down depending on your day?  If you want to see God move in a mighty way in someone close to you then you need to make sure you are living out a Hebrews 11:1 faith.

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.
