Today's Passage: Galations 1
What a powerful word Paul has here for the church in Galatia. Verses 6-10 of this first chapter are so bold. I think that more often than we would like to admit we ourselves are deserting the Gospel that we first believed. Paul's words here are calling all believers back to the roots of our faith.
When we begin believe that things outside the Bible have a higher authority than God's word we give into a gospel that truly isn't "good news" at all. Anything that we hear that doesn't involve surrendering our will to God's or that eliminates our need for God we should instantly question. God's role in our lives is Savior and Lord. This means that He is the reason for all good things and the one that we should receive all guidance. His word is our first connection to Him and should be the measuring stick for everything that we both embrace and share.
Cling to God's word, believe strictly what it says and be cautious of those who claim to know it better than others.
