Today's Passage: Revelation 16

Ever wondered where the word Armageddon came from?  Well you have found it today.  Armageddon is the Greek pronunciation of the Hebrew word Har-Magedon which means "Mountain of Meggiddo."  This is a location where several ancient forts have been built to protect the main road that connects Ancient Egypt to Mesopotamia, or the modern day middle east.  Armageddon has been the site of many pivotal battles and is presented here in scripture as the place where the earth's kings will be gathered prior to the war of the great day of God.

So the next time you see the Bruce Willis movie or here Aerosmith remember that Armageddon is actually a location not an event, and it's just one more piece of evidence that shows God has a detailed plan for us.  He's even told us where certain things will happen.
