Today's Passage: 1 Corinthians 15

How constant is your faith? A lot of people believe in things that aren't true; things that help them for a time but they eventually abandon. In today's passage, Paul talks about how the gospel is more than the forgiveness of sins; it is also the renewal of all creation through Christ's resurrection. This we must accept by faith continually.

The Greeks had great difficulty accepting the idea of a bodily resurrection as they believed the body was a barrier to the attainment of good in the immortal soul. It was a bold statement that the resurrection of Jesus Christ conquered death and the grave, allowing us to be raised up in an incorruptible body from our corruptible one (1 Corinthians 15:52).

The resurrection is not speculative theory. There were many witnesses.  However, for us to believe something that happened so long ago and for which we were not present requires faith...persevering faith (1 Corinthians 15:2) or it is useless and everything you practice is worthless. Therefore, knowing you believe the truth, be steadfast! Your labor is not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).
