Today's Passage:  Revelation 19

Alleluia means "praise the Lord".  (Interestingly, in all of the New Testament this word occurs only in this passage.)

Chapter 19 of Revelation is the last descriptions of what were seven spectacles revealed to John the apostle.  The shouts of Alleluia are in response to (and on the heels of) the final and complete fall of Babylon.  In some ways, it appears as if the saints are cheering that our enemies are finally getting their just deserts.

But that is not the focus.  As it should be, attention is on the Lord.   "Praise the Lord!" is sufficient to acknowledge the Lord's perfect justice, righteousness and truth.  How He chooses to execute that perfect justice is His choice, not ours.

It has been said that God will deal with your trials in one of three ways: He will change the circumstance; or He will remove you from the circumstance; or He will change you.  Any of these three options are worthy of an Alleluia.  Better yet, "Praise the Lord!" in anticipation of one of those three results.
