Today's Passage:  Romans 8

Have you ever felt like you just need to be better?  Maybe even working harder at being good?  There are times in my life when I have stepped outside of grace and stepped into my own personal version of the law.  Those moments are filled with guilt and anxiety.  When I find myself in such a guilt ridden state, I know I must return to the Scriptures.

Good news, I don't have to live like that.  I am no longer under condemnation (8:1).  Now I do still sin.  When I do sin, I don't have to worry about fixing it myself.  Our God has graciously removed sin through His Son.  Because of our grace relationship, no one or nothing condemns me.  I am free because of God's Son.  That is a great feeling that allows me to quickly remove thoughts and guilt of trying to be better so that God loves me more.
