Today's Passage: 2 Corinthians 3
Wow! When reading this passage, I was struck with an overwhelming sense of gratitude that we are able to have relationship with the God of heaven. Verse 18 is really heavy. We, because of our relationship with Jesus, are allowed to interact with God personally and thus reflecting God's glory, and through this process we are being transformed to look more like Jesus including his glory, given to us by God through his Holy Spirit.
I find this miraculous! I am overwhelmed with the ability that has been given to us to relate to the Lord. And not only are we able to have relationship with him, but we actually reflect his glory! This made me think. What do the people around me see? When people at work or people in the grocery store or people at church see me and interact with me, are they seeing the Lord's glory reflecting off of me? Obviously there is no actual glow or aura, but can they tell that I have been spending time with the Lord? I do not mean this in the cliche way, but this passage should make you think about how much you reflect the Lord. I challenge you to look at your life, just like this passage has caused me to look at mine and see how well you are reflecting the Lord's glory!
