Today's Passage: Acts 1

"It is not for you to know the times or dates the Father has set by His own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be My witnesses..." (vs.7-8)

Earthquakes, wild fires, tornadoes, trouble in the Middle East, continuing moral collapse (at an ever increasing pace)--shew-- with all that it is very easy to get wrapped up in the question of when Jesus is coming back.  For some, it might even be easy to throw up our hands (as far as the world goes) and just hang out til Jesus comes!  However, just as the scripture says, we have been given POWER by the Holy Spirit to be His witnesses!  God wants us to be fueled by His power and desire for people to come to know Him, not beat down by the world around us.  Paul told Timothy that God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but a spirit of POWER, love, and a sound mind.  Let's live out the POWER the Holy Spirit gives us!
