Today's Passage: Exodus 11
Why so many plagues? especially if the Lord was hardening Pharaoh's heart anyway? Why the first born of everyone, even cattle? There are lots of questions you might come away with after reading through this part of Exodus. God is working out His plan, and it just happens to include the rebellious nature of a Pharaoh, who ironically, thought he was standing in God's way. Through this and the next chapter, God is not only working out His plan for Moses and His people, He is painting a picture of the ULTIMATE plan! We could easily ask the question, "Why did God's Son have to die?" Because it was His plan. In Isaiah 55, God tell us that His ways are higher than ours. Therefore, we're not always going to understand them. We can understand that Jesus is the only payment for our sin. We can understand that His death and resurrection was the only way for us to be right with God. Through all this, we can KNOW Him, and make Him known!
