Today's Passage: Psalm 90

"Teach us to number our days..."(vs.12) Kids know how to do this really well.  It seems like they are always counting their days to something like the last day of school, Christmas, or their birthday.  However, there is a lot more to this verse than looking forward to events in the next few weeks or months, "...that we may gain a heart of wisdom."  It's not about counting days, it's about making days count.  The only way to make each day count is to live it in relationship with our God through His Son, Jesus Christ, who said in Revelation, "I am the Alpha and the Omega,"  or as the Psalmist put it, "Even from everlasting to everlasting You are God."  As children of God, we have the ultimate event to "number our days" for-- living eternally with Jesus as Lord and King!
