Today's Passage:  Titus 2

Have you ever stopped to think just how much instruction we have in scripture?  It seems we're always looking for answers on how to navigate this world, and yet we hold in our hands the answer book!  It is literally a manual for living.

In Titus 2, we learn that there are different groups that need to hear different things.  They are in different stages of life and struggle with many different areas.  But the one thing they have in common is that the answers to their struggles lie in the Word of God.  The older men can learn to be "sound in faith" by reading the great faith stories of the Old and New Testaments.  The young women can hear instruction from the older women on how to treat their husbands and families...instruction the older women get from scripture.  It's one thing to pass along "wisdom"...it's quite another to pass along the sound doctrine that is only found in the Word of God.
