Today's Passage: Revelation 5
This passage of scripture came to life for me last Thursday. I had the unique chance to worship in a Massai church in the middle of the Great Rift Valley in Kenya. There was not a town for miles...we were so far out in the bush that you could see nothing but scrub brush. Yet, in the middle of this wilderness stood a little church that was filled with believers...some of them were among the first Christians in that area! As we entered the church, they began to worship, and it was beautiful. I couldn't understand any of it, but it was beautiful! As they sang, the missionary we were working with told me they were singing, "The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob...He is the same God we worship now."
One day, we will stand with people from "every tribe and language and people and nation"...and Abraham, Isaac and Jacob...and worship the Lamb who is worthy. His blood purchased us from sin and death and hell and will bring us into eternal life. Praise, honor, glory and power for ever and ever!
