Today's Passage: Proverbs 27-29
It's often difficult to read a passage such as this...it's not a story or even one coherent thought, but a collection of wise sayings. I was struck at just how many wise sayings there were today...and how many of them still apply to our lives thousands of years later. I encourage you to take your time as you read today and allow God to stop you at the places that most fit your life right now.
Proverbs 27:17 says "As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another." This means the more we know about God's word together, the more we can encourage each other to be all that God wants us to be. Imagine if we took just the thoughts of these three chapters and they became concrete in our lives! How much encouragement and instruction could we give each other...how much sharper could we be for the Kingdom!
So again, take your time today...see where God wants to sharpen you, and then see if there's a word of encouragement for someone else you can share today.
