Today's Passage:  Song of Solomon 4-5

I love being overwhelmed with love.  I love being so in love with my wife that my head spins.  I love it when my girls snuggle up with me and I can't imagine any place I'd rather be.  I love visiting with family and feeling my heart hurt when we have to say goodbye.  Pure love is overwhelming...it's as if our brains can't process our feelings fast enough!

These chapters in Song of Solomon put words to those emotions.  They can't say enough words to convey the deep feelings they have for each other.  This love, given to them by God, is consuming them...and they wouldn't have it any other way.

If we can understand these human emotions, how much more should we long to let God's love for us overwhelm our senses!  We know pure, earthly love...but God's love is both pure and perfect!  When is the last time you let your heart pour out your love for Him?  When is the last time words just don't seem to capture the feelings you have for Creator God?  Take some time today to let the love you have for God overwhelm you!
