Today's Passage:  Revelation 7

On this beginning day of 2011, we read about the end of time.  We see the picture of the believers gathered together at the feet of Jesus, singing praises to His holy name.  "Salvation belongs to the Lord."  It is a very simple, very truthful statement of praise and worship, yet it gets to the very heart of why we praise Him.

Today begins another year, and with new beginnings we feel like there is a chance for great change in our life.  Maybe you've made a resolution to lose weight, get a better job, treat people differently...or maybe you've made a spiritual resolution to spend more time in the word or go to church more.  Whatever you've decided to change, the fact that salvation belongs to the Lord...and He offers it as a free gift...does not change with the calendar or seasons.  He is always there waiting to save those who will trust in Him.

Begin this new year praising God for the amazing, unchanging gift of salvation.  He is worthy of our praise, both now and for eternity!
