Today's Passage:  Psalms 126-127

How many times have you tried to complete a task, be it big or small, without relying on God?  If you are like me, then this probably happens on a daily basis.  In Psalm 127, we are reminded that it is God who builds the house.  House here is a metaphor representing all reality.  In essence, God is the builder of everything.  However, we still try to live like we can build things on our own.

Let me ask you a question, "How does it usually turn out for you when you build something without relying on God?"  Answer . . . Not Good!  There is a reason this is so.  God is the giver of all good things, and He really wants to give good things to those who love Him.  We need to be very careful as to not act god-like, but relying on Him who is God!  What a great God we serve.
