Today's Passage: Acts 23

Today's passage continues the testimony of Paul to the crowds in Jerusalem, and their violent uprising to have him killed for his message of the Messiah.

One might conclude that it was fortunate Paul was born a Roman citizen and this allowed him extra considerations under the law he might not have had without it.  However, it was part of the Lord's plan and calling to use the natural circumstances of Paul's life in his ministry.

Paul appeared to be unafraid to die for the cause of Christ, but perhaps he wondered if his end would be in Jerusalem, for the Jews were plotting to kill him and were unwilling to hear anything he had to say.  How great is the Lord, that He should come and encourage Paul during one of his darkest hours?  (Acts 23:11)

In the Lord's economy, He will use everything for His glory in our work for Him, even our experience, our citizenship, our nationality, and our skills.  Where you are this day is no mistake if you have given your life and this day to Him.  Be encouraged about your unique path that is not finished yet!
