Today's Passage: Proverbs 30-31
With these two proverbs we find ourselves at the end of our journey through Proverbs. A notable fact about these verses and the verses found in 22:17-24:34 are unique because they are the only portions of this book that were not contributed by Solomon. Something else interesting and what I would like to focus on today is that Proverb 31:10-31 is an acrostic of the Hebrew alphabet portraying a virtuous wife.
Now I understand that I am not a woman nor a wife, however I do have one. One thing I can proudly say is that God has blessed me with a virtuous wife. It is an unbelievable blessing to be married to someone that is truly an equal in their desires, responsibility and obedience to the Lord. I encourage everyone to read these verses and pass them on because everyone can gain something from them. If you are married these verses will challenge you as a wife and help you to be more appreciative as a husband. If you are still searching for your soul-mate these verses will help to you establish who you are or who you are looking for.
To make sure to not leave the guys out I encourage you to read Ephesians 5:25-33. In these verse you will find God's description of the role of a husband. God has such a beautiful plan for each and every one of us. I praise Him for having a greater plan than what we have for ourselves.
