Today's Passage: Revelation 15

In this chapter we read about the preparation of the final 7 judgments or bowls delivered by God's angels.

The song that is sang in verses 3 & 4 comes from the song of praise sung by God's people after their safe passage through the Red Sea in Exodus 15.  Although there are thousands of ways we can worship and praise God by our actions.  Singing has been and, according to revelation, will continue to be one of the primary ways we communicate our love, adoration and thankfulness to God.

We may sing every Sunday but what is your motive for singing?  Is it because the songs are catchy or maybe we feel like we have to.  Singing God's praises should always come from the overflow of our hearts.  Lifting up idle praise only develops a bad habit of faking how we really feel.  Don't you think God would much rather us sit and pray or stand and listen to the lyrics rather than singing words to Him that mean nothing to us?

God has always been more interested in our hearts then just our words.
