Today's Passage:  Psalms 81-82

I love how simply God can play out the cause and effect relationship.  How many times in scripture do we hear Him say "If you do this, then I will bless you...if you don't, then you could be in real trouble!"  It seems so easy when scripture says things like the end of Ch. 81..."If you would just listen to me, I'll take care of this problem and any other that could come up.  But you don't listen...you are too stubborn to listen...and you keep walking into more and more trouble.  This is trouble I don't want for you...trouble you don't want for you...but you keep choosing trouble over listening to me.!"

It seems so easy, yet we often make the same mistakes God is talking about here.  We know what we should do (or what we shouldn't do), but we choose the opposite.  We actually choose the trouble that we will end up crying out to God about down the road.  If we'd only listen to Him and truly believe what He says to us!  How would life be different today, right where you are, if you would listen to His voice and do what He says?
